The local agri-food industry has set itself ambitious targets in the Going for Growth Strategy, and identified innovation as one of the key drivers to achieve the increased level of output and exports required. Given this context, the NI Institute of Agricultural Science (NIIAS) has taken ‘Growth through Innovation’ as the theme for its Annual Conference and invited an impressive line up of speakers to describe how their businesses have addressed this challenge.
The Conference takes place on the afternoon and evening of Thursday 26th March, with an optional pre conference visit to the Dunbia Pig Innovation Centre, Kirby’s Lane Antrim, at 4.00pm. This is followed by the formal proceedings in the Hilton Hotel, Templepatrick, commencing at 6.00pm with a hot food buffet.
To register for the Conference, contact the NIIAS Secretary Kate Curran by email (secretary@niias.co.uk) or telephone (028 9268 1078) by Monday 23rd March. Please specify if you are planning to attend the pre conference visit. The Conference fees are £20 for members, £25 for non members and £5 for students studying agri-food disciplines. The event has been kindly sponsored by First Trust Bank.
