The Specialty Food Fair is a one-off event that will celebrate the best of Northern Ireland’s local food producers. The event will feature an artisan food market, kitchen demo sessions, plenty of family fun, gourmet street food and a café bar to relax, enjoy your food and a few tunes from local musicians.

Among the 35+ local food and drink producers taking part, are newly crowned and re-crowned Great Taste Award winners such as Abernethy Butter, Passion Preserved and Brambleberry Jams, to name but a few. With such an abundance of specialist food producer’s right on our doorstep we are spoilt for choice. The aforementioned will be joined by the fabulous Krazi Baker (another Great Taste winner) who will be flipping pancakes and his legendary potato breads on his hotplate. If that’s not enough, we can surely tempt you further with Young Buck cheese, Broughgammon Farm, Harnett’s Oils, Ruby Blue Vodka, Farmageddon Brewing and Scullery Made with an amazing newly launched, Belfast Black Pudding. The Four Trees Moira will be hosting the café bar serving up local craft beers, ciders, liqueurs and spirits.

The Kitchen Sessions will feature demonstrations from local chefs, including Northern Ireland’s representative on the Great British Menu, Chris McGowan, Square Bistro’s Stephen Higginson, nutritious yet tasty ideas from Jane McClenaghan from Vital Nutrition, and something a little different from Sandy Cole from Broughgammon Farm.

With all of this activity for the grown-up’s in the family, we haven’t forgotten about the smaller family members with craft workshops to include T-shirt printing, story-telling and face painting.

Entry is FREE and with something to suit all culinary tastes and interests, it promises to be a great social occasion that will appeal to the whole family, so this is one event not to be missed.
